Getting Started

Quick Start — first 30 minutes

Set up a fresh SigmaDSA tenant end-to-end — Branding, Email Domain, Email Accounts, Roles, Users, and your first lead. The complete onboarding path with rough timings for each step.

Welcome to SigmaDSA. This is the 30-minute onboarding path to take a fresh tenant from empty to your first lead. Six steps, ordered so each one unlocks the next.

Pre-flight checklist

Before you start, have these handy:

  • The logo you want on the CRM (200×50 px PNG or SVG).
  • The domain you'll send email from (e.g., yourdsa.com).
  • Access to your domain registrar's DNS panel (GoDaddy / Cloudflare / Namecheap).
  • A list of team members with their email addresses.
  • A rough picture of who does what — sales vs operations vs management.

Step 1 — Set up Branding (5 minutes)

Open Setup → Branding.

Upload three images:

  • Expanded Sidebar Logo (200×50 px) — wordmark with optional symbol.
  • Collapsed Sidebar Logo (40×40 px) — square monogram or icon.
  • Favicon (32×32 px) — square. Use SVG when you can.

The page auto-saves each upload. Refresh the CRM to see your branding on the sidebar.

Step 2 — Configure Email Domain (5 minutes + DNS wait)

Open Setup → Email Domain.

  • Enter your domain (e.g., yourdsa.com) → Save Domain.
  • SigmaDSA provisions the mail-server configuration and lists the required DNS records.

Now open Setup → DNS & Domain. Add every record at your registrar:

TypeRecords to add
Website2 × A records (apex + www → SigmaDSA web server IP)
EmailMX + A mail + CNAME autodiscover + SRV _autodiscover._tcp
SecurityTXT for SPF + DKIM (default._domainkey) + DMARC (_dmarc)

Wait 5–30 minutes for DNS propagation. Click Verify All on the DNS page — each record's status flips to Verified.

Step 3 — Create Email Accounts for users (5 minutes)

Open Setup → Email Accounts.

For each team member:

  • Click Add Account.
  • Email: nitin (the username — yourdsa.com auto-appended).
  • Display Name: Nitin Malik.
  • Set initial password → user changes after first login.

Note the IMAP + SMTP server details shown at the top of the page — you'll share these so users can configure Outlook / Apple Mail / Gmail.

Step 4 — Create Roles with permissions (5 minutes)

Open Admin → Roles. The tenant ships with a built-in admin role; create the others you need.

Typical set:

RoleUse case
salesSales reps who manage their own leads and files.
operationsOperations team handling bank logins, sanctions, disbursals across all files.
managerSees the whole team's pipeline, reports, can assign and reassign.

For each: click New role → name it lowercase → tick Public (critical — non-public roles don't show in user assignment) → save.

Then for each role, click Actions → Permissions. Three tabs:

  • Setting management — only admin / manager need it.
  • Identity management — only admin / manager need it.
  • Loan CRM — the 98 product permissions. Use the suggested matrix:

Leads (ViewAll/Assign)
Files (Create/Update/View own)
Files (ViewAll/Assign)
Bank Logins / Sanctions / Disbursals

Step 5 — Create Users and assign roles (5 minutes)

Open Admin → Users.

For each team member:

  • Click New user.
  • User Information tab: Username, password, name, email, phone, Active = on.
  • Roles tab: tick the appropriate role (the Public ones from Step 4 show here).
  • Save.

The user can log in immediately with the username + password you set, and inherits all permissions of the assigned role.

Step 6 — Create your first lead (5 minutes)

Open Leads in the main sidebar → click New Lead.

Fill the Quick Add modal:

  • Name — applicant's name.
  • Mobile — phone number.
  • Loan Type — pick from the dropdown (Personal Loan, Home Loan, Business Loan, etc.).
  • Requested Amount — what they're asking for.
  • Source — pick the channel (Walk-in, Web, Referral, Partner).
  • Assigned to — the sales rep who'll own this lead.

Save. The lead appears on the Leads board. The assignee gets a notification + a task on their My Tasks board.
